Mark Your Calendars for this Federal Mandate
Under its new Condition of Participation (CoP) regulation, CMS is requiring nearly all hospitals to deliver admit, discharge, transfer (ADT) notifications to community providers as a condition of participation by May 1, 2021. MX Advocates for Statewide HIE Expansion
The Governor’s budget included a strong and prominent commitment to accelerating HIE in California by seeking federal funding and requiring data sharing as a condition of participation in public programs. In addition Assembly Health Chair Dr. Jim Wood committed to sponsoring HIE legislation this session. This represents a major commitment from the Newsom Administration and the Legislature in advancing HIE, and will benefit our participants greatly as more providers and plans across the state participate in HIE efforts.
