Meet Our New Regional Executive Director!

Manifest MedEx is pleased to announce that Charles Alm will now serve as the Executive Director of the Southern Coastal Region for Manifest MedEx. Charles joined MX in 2021, and over the past four years, he has played a critical role here—first as Business Development Manager, leading provider recruitment for the Department of Health Care Services’ California Health Information Exchange Onboarding Program (Cal-HOP), and then as Growth Director, where he forged high-impact partnerships with providers and payers across California. His dedication and strategic vision have been instrumental in expanding the MX footprint and advancing our mission to improve health outcomes through data-driven collaboration. He most recently served as Director of Business Development and Participant Value at MX.

Charles has 25+ years of experience in healthcare sales and business development, deep industry expertise, and a proven track record of driving strategic growth and innovation. His career started with 14 years at Philips Healthcare, where he earned multiple Rep of the Year awards for Sales Excellence. During his tenure, he led the development and rollout of pilot programs for advanced patient monitoring technologies in partnership with major health systems, including Kaiser Permanente, Banner Health, and InterMountain Healthcare. Charles holds an MBA and an MS in Management from Western Governors University, as well as undergraduate degrees in Biology and Organizational Leadership.

Additional MX Notify Enhancements

Several enhancements are now available in MX Notify that help users streamline the process of managing notifications. The enhancements include:

  • Ability to remove notifications from your notification list
  • Ability to select multiple notifications and perform an action such as update status, mark as read/unread, or remove from your list
  • Ability to select a default filter that will be applied at all times, including every time you log in
  • Notifications will automatically be deleted after 12 months

MX Monthly Product Trainings

Manifest MedEx hosts monthly product trainings to help users walk through key features designed to boost efficiency and enhance productivity in MX Access, MX Notify, and our MX Admin Settings.

Manifest MedEx Welcomes A New Participant!

Inland Housing Solutions, formerly Inland Temporary Homes

Inland Housing Solutions is a community support provider in the Inland Empire, based out of Loma Linda. Opening its doors in the spring of 1991, Inland Housing Solutions aims to break the cycle of family homelessness in the Inland Empire by providing housing, case management, and other supportive services to families who have no place to live. Partnering with MX will advance their data-driven work to prevent and end homelessness.

Consortium for State and Regional Interoperability (CSRI) Announces New York eHealth Collaborative (NYeC) as Newest Member

Consortium for State and Regional Interoperability (CSRI), a collection of the nation’s largest and most robust nonprofit health data networks, announced today the addition of its latest member, New York eHealth Collaborative (NYeC). A nonprofit organization working to improve healthcare and patient outcomes by collaboratively leading, connecting, and integrating health information exchange (HIE) across the state of New York, NYeC is joining founding CSRI members Contexture, CRISP, CyncHealth, Indiana Health Information Exchange, and Manifest MedEx.

“Adding NYeC as a member of CSRI clearly strengthens our organization,” said John Kansky, Board President, CSRI and CEO, Indiana Health Information Exchange. “The thought-leadership and industry influence of NYeC will help us advance our vision of a health data utility in every state. Growing our membership with partners like NYeC will enable CSRI to further the work of health data utilities across the country.”

On June 2 at the 2025 California Health Information Association’s Convention & Exhibit, Manifest MedEx’s Chief Information Officer, Jason Buckner, will join John Helvey, Chief Executive Officer, SacValley MedShare; Daniel Chavez, Executive Director, Serving Communities Health Information Organization; and Derek Plansky, SVP of Product Strategy, Health Gorilla in a discussion on the CalHHS Data Exchange Framework -- how it works, the status of implementation, data governance, privacy, security, and how it can benefit prospective organizations. Their panel is titled, “Inside the Implementation of the California Health and Human Services Data Exchange Framework” and will be moderated by Susan Clark, Senior Director, Community & Advocacy, DirectTrust.

Public Health Modernization Day: Advancing Public Health through Data Modernization: A Virtual Conference on the CDC's Data Modernization Initiative 

On June 5, members of the Consortium for State and Regional Interoperability (CSRI): MX's CEO, Erica Galvez; Chesapeake Regional Information System for our Patients' (CRISP) President and CEO, Craig Behm; CyncHealth's President and CEO, Jaime Bland; and Indiana Health Information Exchange's (IHIE) President and CEO, John Kansky, will share opportunities for health data utilities (HDUs) to meet the state and federal public health needs of today and in the future on a panel titled "Modernizing Public Health Data Infrastructure with Health Data Utilities" at Healthcare IT Connect's Public Health Modernization Day event.

2025 Healthcare Innovation Summit
